Matt and Lauren Kirchgessner were on a family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida when a horrible incident took the lives of their young children.
The Kentucky parents were mini-golfing outside with their two young children, 4-year-old Baylor and 6-year-old Addie.
As they were enjoying their time outside, an out-of-control truck suddenly slammed into the miniature golf course — killing the children.
The incident happened at Coconut Creek Golf & Maze.
The 2007 Chevrolet Silverado had veered off the main road, heading directly toward them at a high rate of speed.

Both kids were stuck in the truck’s path and terribly injured. While Baylor died at the scene, Addie was still fighting for her life when the paramedics arrived, according to WLWT. She was rushed to a hospital but ultimately died of her injuries.
The driver has since been identified.
Authorities confirmed that a man by the name of Scott Donaldson was behind the wheel of the Silverado at the time but did not release his age or provide any additional details about what caused the crash.

Friends of the Kirchgessners set up a GoFundMe page which has since matched its goal.
“We are blown away by the overwhelming love and support everyone is showing and by the huge amounts of generosity,” wrote Beth Peak, a family friend who created the page.
“Rest assured that these funds will be a tremendous help to Matt and Lauren in the months to come.”
