Wynonna Judd is speaking out after her CMA performance on November 8 caused her fans to become concerned.
During the show, Judd took the stage with Jelly Roll to perform his hit song Need a Favor as a duet. It was the first time the two singers ever performed together.
However, it was during the performance that people noticed Wynonna clutching the arm of Jelly Rolls jacket for dear life. The performance left fans worried for Wynonna.
Now, the singer is speaking out about the performance and what people had to say about it. “Okay so they say don’t read the comments – I’ve read the comments,” Judd began the video she posted to Instagram after the performance.
“And I’m just gonna come clean with y’all, I was so freaking nervous. I got out there and I looked at Jelly Roll, I wanted it to be so good for him,” Judd continued.
“I could cry right now, but I’m not going to, because I’m such a fan of his, and he asked me to sing and I said absolutely. I got out there and I was so nervous that I just held on for dear life. And that’s the bottom line.”
It’s as simple as that. Despite being a performer for most of her life, even the best of the best still get nervous while performing with and in front of their peers.
Fellow performer, Carnie Wilson, commented on the video, sending her support to Judd. “Love you so much,” Wilson wrote.
“There are days when nothing comes out of my throat- I lose control of my diaphragm, my tummy muscles and it’s a horrible feeling for me. Truth be told – you are ALWAYS perfect to me.”
