WWE Star Sara Lee’s Shocking Cause of Death Revealed

Several months after WWE star Sara Lee passed away, her cause of death is being revealed.

As Mamas Uncut previously reported, the news of her unexpected death sent shock waves through the WWE community in October 2022. Now the reveal of her cause of death is adding to that shock.

According to TMZ, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office found that Lee “ingested a lethal combination of alcohol and pills.” Police also reported that Lee left behind “letters of intent” which were found at the scene.

News of Sara’s passing was first revealed in a heartbreaking Facebook post shared by her mother, Terri Lee. Sara Lee was just 30 years old at the time of her passing.

“It is with heavy hearts we wanted to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus,” Terri began her post. “We are all in shock and arrangements are not complete.”

“We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn. We all need prayers especially [her husband] Cory and her children.” Cory and Sara, who had been married since 2017, shared three young children together.

Sara Lee’s husband also spoke out for the first time shortly after the news of her unexpected death rocked the world of wrestling.

Sara’s husband, Westin “Cory” Blake, took to Instagram to share an open letter to his beloved wife and the mother of his three children. “Dear Sara,” he began, “I loved you from the first moment I saw you. I would always say that you were an angel walking on this earth.”

“Beautiful, compassionate, strong and so loving. An angel that blessed me with 3 of the most beautiful children I could imagine. But you were soo much more than just mom,” Westin continued.

“You were a motivator, a best friend, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, the back bone of our family, and (my favorite), my wife. I really don’t know what to say in these uncertain times. I just know that death can’t take away the memories we made. I can’t promise that I will stop grieving but I know now, that you’re free. I can’t thank you enough for giving me the best years of my life so far.”

At the time of her passing, Sara was currently in her one-year contract with the WWE after she won season 6 of Tough Enough. Her last Instagram post before her death revealed that she was dealing with a sinus infection.

Just two days ago, Sara shared a picture of herself at her gym. She wrote that she was “celebrating finally being healthy enough to go to the gym two days in a row.” She further revealed that she had been battling her first-ever sinus infection and it “kicked her butt.”

People have been offering their condolences in the comments section of her final Instagram post. “Rest In Peace Beautiful, taken from us way too soon,” one commenter wrote. “Fly high, Sara,” another added.

Fellow WWE wrestler Bull James created a GoFundMe campaign to help raise money for Cory and their 3 kiddos. “We’re all shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Tough Enough winner Sara Lee. As her loving husband, Cory, picks up the pieces and continues to raise their 3 children, the last thing anyone in that position wants to be worried about is money and paying for a funeral and everything else that comes along with it.”

James sentiments continued, “The wrestling community has always been one to come together in the wake of tragedy and this is no different,” James continued. “Every penny raised from this will go directly to Cory and the kids. Thank you all in advance. RIP Sara, you were one of the good ones.”
