Whitney Port, an entrepreneur known for her work on MTV’s The Hills, is a working mom’s mom. She and her husband Tim Rosenman have a 3-year-old son named Sonny. In a recent chat with Cafe Mom, she opened up about how she does it all.
Whitney Port is currently collaborating with Poise to promote their new double duty pads and liners.
As part of the promotion, she opened up about how her bathroom has become a sanctuary amid such a busy life, in a “canfessional.”
As Whitney told Cafe Mom, “But my true canfessional is that I binge watch my reality TV in there. I set up my laptop, bring in some snacks, and get comfy, knowing that no one is going to bug me because no one knows what I’m doing — I’m in the bathroom, you know what I am saying.”

She also gave advice to other working moms.
Whitney Port said that “the simplest [working mom] advice I’ve heard is to realize that not everything is going to get your full attention all the time, and not every day is going to be a total win for everything. Like, some days may be really work-heavy, some days may be really kid-heavy, and some days may be really self-heavy — and that’s OK,”
She opened up about the guilt that comes from having to balance her job, herself, and her son, and how she handles it. She said, “I was thinking to myself, ‘Oh my God, I have not been there for Sonny.’ But (I remembered) I am about to take him on a 10-day vacation, and it’s just going to be the three of us the whole time, so I was like, ‘I am not going to feel bad for having to get this stuff done today.'”
She also relies heavily on her husband. But understands that everyone’s situation is different and says to find a support system.
She told Cafe Mom, “And obviously, not everyone has (a partner) to rely on, but I think it is important to figure out how to ask for help that works for you so that you can do the other things that you need to get done in order to support your family.”
