Tragically, an 11-year-old boy was shot and killed last weekend at a birthday party in Cleveland, Ohio. No arrests have yet been made.
The Cleveland Division of Police confirmed that the young boy died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Relatives have identified the victim as Tyshaun Taylor.

The birthday party was being held for a 16-year-old boy at an apartment on the city’s East Side. The mother of the birthday boy was not home at the time of the shooting.
The victim was taken to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s, where he was later pronounced dead.
After the shooting occurred, two children at the party helped to carry the boy out of the building and flagged down help.
Tyshaun’s aunt, Nita Moore, spoke with Cleveland.com, saying her family spent Saturday night at the hospital and is “tired and hurt and frustrated.”

No suspects have yet been identified in Tyshaun’s death. Authorities are continuing to investigate.
A spokesman for East Cleveland City Schools, the district where Taylor attended school, said they were “deeply saddened” by his passing.
“He was an exceptional student with a promising future,” said Donshon Wilson, the spokesman.
