'Twilight' Hunk Kellan Lutz Can't Wait to Be a Dad: 'A Girl Right Off the Bat? Home Run!'

Twilight actor Kellan Lutz can’t wait to meet his baby girl in May!

He and his wife Brittany (Gonzales) Lutz are expecting their first child this spring, and they are over-the-moon about their new arrival.

The star stopped by The Talk earlier this month to chat about his newest project, FBI: Most Wanted, as well as his excitement about being a father. “We want to have a baby,” Lutz says in the clip after being asked about the things he’s proud he’s achieved throughout his life. “So we did that last year, ” he continues, referring to conception. Their baby is due in May of this year.

“I’m so excited,” he said. “I have a lot of brothers in my family, same with Brittany, so getting a girl right off the bat? Home run!”

In the clip, you can sense Lutz’s genuine excitement and pride, which is so nice to see from a soon-to-be first-time dad!

Lutz first shared the exciting news on Thanksgiving, posting an adorable pic of himself and his wife wearing matching jackets and holding a mini version of the same Sherpa-lined denim coat.

“HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2019,” he wrote on Instagram. “So much to be grateful for this year…and even more so in 2020! So proud of my wife @brittanylynnlutz and so pumped for our lil family to grow into 3 + Koda. Get here already!!!! Can’t wait to meet you Little Lutz!”

Lutz had also spoken with People earlier this month about becoming a father, sharing that he and his wife hoped to have a big family one day.

“I just want a big family,” he told the magazine. “I come from a big family and Brittany’s an amazing wife, she’s gonna be an amazing mother. I just can’t wait to see our girls looks like.”

“I think it’s the coolest thing,” he continued. “We get to create, and then with all the X and Y chromosomes, you have this lottery ticket of what your child’s gonna look like!”

We’re hoping but nothing for the best for these parents-to-be! And we hope they keep us updated on their exciting parenthood journey.
