Tanya Pardazi is a 21-year-old Canadian influencer best known for competing in the Miss Canada pageant.
Sadly, the young star has tragically passed away after becoming known as “the bravest girl” by her closest friends.
Tragedy Strikes Influencer and Former Miss Canada Semi-Finalist
According to reports, Pardazi was an avid skydiver. But on her very-first solo skydive, tragedy struck.
The facility where Pardazi got her thrill issued a statement following the accident. On Facebook, they wrote, “The skydiver released a quickly rotating main parachute at a low altitude without the time/altitude required for the reserve parachute to inflate.”
“The jumper was a welcomed recent addition to the skydiving community and will be missed amongst the student’s new friends and fellow jumpers of Skydive Toronto Inc. The team at Skydive Toronto Inc has been profoundly affected by this accident as they have refined their student training program for over 50 years.”
Pardazi, while also being a well-known influencer with close to 100,000 followers, was a student at the University of Toronto studying philosophy. At the university, she was also a member of the cheerleading squad.
The jump that claimed Pardazi’s life was her first since completing her solo class at Skydive Toronto.
Pardazi’s friend, Melody Ozgoli told CTV that she “really lived every second to the fullest.” Ozgoli continued, saying, “This is the biggest shock to us. It’s very hard to process. It’s been a couple of days, but we still don’t even believe it.”
“She was definitely known for how beautiful she was, but what she was known mostly for was her incredible mind. That is the one thing that every single person that I talked to mentioned, just how bright she was, how smart she was, how much she knew.”
Another one of Pardazi’s friends called her “one of the bravest girls. Whenever we saw her, we knew we were in for an adventure because she didn’t like letting herself, or the people closest to her, get bored. Everyone who met her thought the world of her.”
According to CNN, the accident occurred on August 27. Pardazi shared her last TikTok five days earlier, where she talked about skydiving being her newest adventure.
Picking up skydiving was not surprising, at least to her friends. Pardazi was known to her friend group as someone always “picking up new hobbies.”
As CNN reports, Pardazi was laid to rest on September 2. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.
