Jessica Simpson and Pink are not alone! Tori Spelling recently found herself in some hot water with online mom-shamers after posting photos of her daughters with dyed hair and makeup.
Spelling and her husband, Dean McDermott, are parents to five children: Liam (12), Stella (11), Hattie (7), Finn (7), and Beau (2).

Last week, Spelling shared a photo of her, Dean, and their two older daughters (and youngest boy Beau) at the LOL Surprise Winter Disco Launch party. In the photos, Spellings’ girls can be seen rocking hair dye and even a little bit of makeup.
Innocent enough, right? Wrong! One of the top comments on Spelling’s post reads, “What is with all the makeup and dying those girls hair? Too young for that Tori!”
Other commenters rushed to Spelling’s defense, with one commenter saying, “Why are some people all up in Tori’s business? You can tell they are at a party and having fun. I’m sure she doesn’t let them wear makeup and colored hair everyday. Kids like to dress up in this kind of thing sometimes. You go Tori! Love your family.”
Many others offered their support and compliments freely, not in response to the negative comments.
Spelling herself eventually spoke out, telling People Magazine, “First of all, it was [for] Halloween costumes, in pink, and it washes out the next day. It wasn’t dye at all.”
Mom-shamers? Getting angry before having all the facts? Shocking! (Just kidding: It’s super not!)
“It was like, come dressed as your favorite L.O.L.,” Spelling explained. “It was a costume dress party where girls can be anything they want to be. Screw the shamers.”
This is certainly not the first time Spelling and her family have encountered the ire of online mom-shamers. Last year, many commenters left nasty comments about her kids’ weight and clothing on a back-to-school post she shared.
Screw the haters, indeed. Keep doing you, Tori!
