We’ve all had our fair share of parenting fails, so it’s refreshing to hear Tori Roloff open up about her personal struggles surrounding motherhood.
The Little People, Big World star admitted that things are not always as perfect as they appear on Instagram. “I know social media can sometimes make it look like we’ve all got it together all the time. Truth is. That’s not the truth,” Tori shared in a recent Instagram Story.

While it may look to the outside world like the family had a picture-perfect trip to Disneyland, the mama-of-two explained that traveling with her 2-month-old daughter Lilah Ray was difficult.
Tori Roloff Admits Nothing Is as It Seems on Social Media After Revealing She Felt Like a Failure as a Mom
Tori explained, “Traveling today was really hard. Lilah just doesn’t travel the best, unfortunately (she’s 2 months old so I know I need to give her some grace.) She’s a little more particular when it comes to anything really and it’s been a mental adjustment for me. Today she really didn’t like airplanes (even though she slept through her first flight!).”
She continued, “I was at the end of my patience and feeling like a total failure on the plane this evening. I was so exhausted and frustrated and feeling like a bad mom for taking my 2-month-old out.”
And that’s when an understanding stranger offered some support and a sweet treat to the exasperated mom. The sweet treat was an adorably decorated sugar cookie that read, “Hello gorgeous.”
Tori wrote that it was that simple act of kindness that turned her whole day around. She said, “To the woman on the plane who gave me a cookie and told me I was doing a good job — thank you. Wow. You’re a superhuman and we need more people like you in this world.”
As Mamas Uncut reported, despite a difficult trip back, the mom thoroughly enjoyed getting to share her love of Disney with her two little ones during their trip to Disneyland. Tori said on Instagram that “sharing my love of Disney with my two kiddos has my heart so full. So blessed to be able to share this magic with my little family.”
