Tom Brady is revealing he’ll never be the subject of another roast again.

While a guest on The Pivot Podcast with Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder, Brady admitted his successful, yet controversial, Netflix live roast will be his first and his last.

And the reason isn’t because the jokes that were made hurt his feelings, but because of how the jokes affected his three children.

“I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun,” Brady admitted during the podcast. However, he admitted he “didn’t like the way that it affected my kids.”

Brady is dad to 11-year-old Vivian, 14-year-old Ben, and 16-year-old Jack.

“So, it’s the hardest part about the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of the way it affected the people that I care about the most,” Brady continued.

“Like I said, when I signed up for that I love when people were making fun of me.”

As Brady continued, he told the podcast that he’s always been a fan of comedy, adding that it got him through some pretty difficult times, like during the Deflategate scandal.

”’Cause every time I turn on SportsCenter I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ I just want to laugh. So, I wanted to do the roast because the guy, Jeff Ross, became someone that I knew. And then, you know, you just don’t see the full picture all the time,” Brady added.

“So, I think it’s a good lesson for me as a parent. I’m gonna be a better parent as I go forward because of it and at the same time I’m happy everyone who was there had a lot of fun.”

A source claimed that Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bündchen wasn’t amused by the jokes made about their marriage. Gisele was reportedly “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday evening’s roast show.”

The source went on to claim that “as always, [Bündchen’s] priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted.”

Brady and Bündchen were married for 13 years before divorcing in 2022. The couple share kids Vivi and Ben. Brady shares Jack with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

As Mamas Uncut previously reported, his children were the only thing off the table when it came to the roast.

While a guest on The Howard Stern Show, one of the comedians involved in the event, Nikki Glazer, revealed that it was collectively agreed upon that they would leave Brady’s three children out of the mix when coming up with material.

The reason why is because Brady’s kids “didn’t ask for this,” Glazer said. And because they are all still in school, the aftermath of the toast could have been “brutal” for them.

“If we’re not laughing about things, we’re crying. And I think we should have more fun. […] Let’s do more of that and love each other and celebrate other people’s success. That to me gives everyone a lot of hope,” Brady added.
