After arriving at the vehicle of the guest, police “were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors” coming from the vehicle where Halterman, Brian Scott Lovvorn, and two children sat.

Both Halterman and Lovvorn were arrested and are currently being held at the Crockett County Jail. They are facing charges of Schedule I and Schedule VI substance possession and two counts of child endangerment.

Who was attacked by the camel and why remains unclear.

In a statement shared on the Sheriff’s department Facebook page, the department wrote, “The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.”

This is a developing report.
