As you can see, the clip reveals a snoozing infant — who suddenly pulls a blanket over their face during the night and struggles to get it off their face.

The clip shows the infant pulling a blanket that is at the very top of the crib over their head.

The only other object in the crib is something at the end of the baby’s feet along with a monitor.

The clip shows the baby waving their arms around, the blanket covering their face —- and unable to get it off.

Thankfully, the TikTok notes how this particular “baby’s parents got there in time,” but also how “not every baby is as lucky.”

The video has garnered over 45K likes — furthering the video’s purpose, which is to serve as a reminder to parents of newborns that absolutely nothing should be in there crib.

If you are not familiar already, this practice is referred to as the “ABC’s” of safe sleeping for babies.

These safe sleep practices for babies can help prevent SIDS, which, according to the CDC claims the lives of 3,500 infants per year in the United States.

So while it may be tempting to throw in a cozy lovie or a hand-quilted blanket they were gifted to by a loved one — your infant should only sleep on a tightly fitted sheet below them on a first mattress, alone, and on their back.

This is the safest way for babies to get some rest.
