TikTok star ‘Mr Prada’ charged with second-degree murder of 69-year-old man

Terryon Thomas, better known as Mr Prada on TikTok, was charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice on Thursday, Oct. 3, two days after he was arrested by authorities in Dallas.

The 20-year-old is being accused of killing William Nicholas Abraham, a 69-year-old therapist who was found dead in a tarp on the side of a highway in Louisiana on Sunday, NBC News reports. He died of blunt force trauma.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest on Tuesday for what they described as aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

According to the affidavit, shared by NBC News, suspicion grew after police officers found “a significant amount of blood” and “multiple sharp objects and other weapons” during a search of Thomas’s home.

Police also have surveillance video of Abraham arriving at Thomas’s apartment on Saturday, wearing the same clothes as when he was found on the side of the road.

Furthermore, several witnesses recall seeing Thomas load a tarp into Abraham’s truck before driving off, WBRZ reports.

“This is an ongoing investigation that will take time to gather further evidence. I hope that this arrest may bring some closure and assurance to friends and family,” said East Baton Rouge Sheriff Sid Gautreaux.

Thomas has gained a following of nearly four million people on TikTok, where he regularly posts funny videos and goes viral for copying videos from other creators.

Some of his followers are looking back at old posts from Mr Prada and taking notice of the red flags.

“Practicing for my mugshot cus this might be the year someone gonna meet God if they piss me off too much,” he wrote in one video of him doing a mugshot pose.

As of Oct. 3, Thomas is still in police custody in Dallas as he awaits extradition to Louisiana, where he will eventually stand trial. No court date has been set.

Police are still investigating the murder and the relationship between Thomas and Abraham, but say “there is no evidence to suggest that Thomas was a client of Abraham.”

Thomas’s management team has not yet shared a statement regarding his arrest. It’s also unclear if Thomas has a lawyer at this time.

As police continue to search for a possible motive, they’re asking anyone with information of what occurred last weekend to contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.
