In a shocking road trip, an 11-year-old boy from South Carolina drove more than 200 miles to meet a stranger he met on Snapchat.
On Monday at 12:30 a.m., the boy was spotted by local police officers when they realized he was by himself in the car. The boy told Officer Christopher Braun that he had been driving for several hours and was lost.

11-Year-Old Boy Drives 200 Miles to Meet Snapchat Stranger
The boy opened up to Braun, telling him that he had taken his brother’s car and was driving to meet an unknown male he had met on Snapchat. He was using GPS to find his way but got lost when the signal went out.
The boy gave the police officer his dad’s name and phone number and he was soon reunited with his family.
The police are now investigating who the boy was attempting to meet.
Charleston Police Chief Luther T. Reynolds spoke to CNN affiliate WCIV, saying, “I would love tonight, right now, anybody who’s watching this, who is a parent of a child, especially an 11-year-old, to sit down with your 11-year-old, right now, right this moment and have a conversation about what you’re doing on social media, the dangers, the benefits and things that as a parent we need to talk about every day.”
