David Koechner, the actor known best for his roles in Anchorman and The Office, was arrested on New Year’s Eve.
The 59-year-old was arrested for a DUI in Simi Valley, California, on Friday at 3 p.m. local time, according to online records.

Koechner’s vehicle was towed and he was booked at 5:15 p.m. and it was not until New Year’s Day at about 6 a.m. that the actor was released.
Koechner was arrested on a suspected DUI and hit-and-run, according to TMZ.
The actor claimed he allegedly ran into a street sign with his vehicle while driving under the influence.

On Sunday, he was photographed at a gas station filling up his car, per the outlet. He is due in Ventura County Superior Court on Wednesday, March 30.
Koechner has upcoming stand-up comedy tour appearances on the schedule as soon as this Thursday in Rochester, New York, where he’ll perform through Saturday night.
Currently, he stars in the new sports drama National Champions.
