Tammy Slaton is sharing how she’s been dealing with the death of her husband.
As Mamas Uncut reported earlier this year, less than one year after getting married, Tammy’s beloved husband, Caleb Willingham, has passed away. He was just 40 years old.

Now, Slaton is sharing an update. Since Caleb’s passing, Slaton had a necklace and a ring created using some of his ashes.
Slaton admits the necklace and the ring have become something of a comfort blanket to her. “My necklace is actually Caleb’s ashes. Me and my husband actually really enjoyed music of all kinds so a music note, I thought it would be fitting,” she shared on TikTok.

“This ring is his fingerprint made out of ashes and inside it says Caleb,” she added. “And it’s textured, it’s really cool. I can feel his fingerprint.”
She then admitted that if she can’t find either of the pieces of jewelry she begins to “panic and freak out a little bit.”

“For those of you that have a necklace or a ring made out of ashes and you wear it, do you get separation anxiety, like, you panic and freak out a little bit because they’re not on? Because I was doing that for a long time,” she explained in a video.
“Now, I can tolerate it for a little bit. I haven’t tried to do it longer than an hour. I’m afraid to. But I was just wondering if it was just a weird thing that I’m doing. But it’s making me happy keeping it on so… I don’t know.”
Several people in the comments admitted they too get anxiety if they cannot find their jewelry made of a loved one’s ashes.
In her original statement shared with People, Tammy admitted she was “devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing. He was my best friend and I loved him dearly.”
“When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone’s sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time,” she concluded her statement.
Slaton shared photos of her and Caleb’s special day back in November 2022. The couple met while spending time at the Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center.
Caleb reported proposed in October 2022 and they were married just a month later. “You all knew me as Tammy Slaton, but now you’ll all know me as Mrs. Tammy Willingham,” Tammy said while sharing her excitement with the world. “I’m married now!”
Caleb’s cause of death is not immediately known. Mamas Uncut will continue to update this report as new information becomes available.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Tammy and the rest of Caleb’s family.
