Tallulah Willis, the youngest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, took to her Instagram account to call out a ‘body shamer’ who left several rude comments in her DMs recently. The Instagram user, who remained anonymous, called the 29-year-old ‘fat’ and called her posts ‘cringey’ on numerous occasions.
“I think it’s important to share this, that this happens, that this happens to a healing person in recovery, who has been honest about how very sick she was/is and is working daily to find safety and home within her skin,” she wrote in the caption – adding she’s in a much better, happier, and healthier place today.
This isn’t the first time she has spoken out about her struggles with body image – having been diagnosed with body dysmorphia as a teenager and even receiving treatment for an eating disorder in 2015. That was the start of her healing process and she has come a long way since then – mentally and physically.

In the comments section of her most recent Instagram post, Tallulah Willis received an overwhelming amount of love, support, encouragement, and kind words from fans, friends, and family members – including her mother, Demi Moore, her step-mother, Emma Heming Willis, and her sister, Scout Willis.
“I am so proud of you! People often can only reflect their own fear. Be you in all your forms and keep shining your gorgeous glorious light!” Demi Moore wrote. She gave birth to Tallulah in February 1994, while she was still married to Bruce Willis – the former couple got married in 1987 and divorced in 2000.
“I’m so sorry Tallulah. You’ve summoned the mama bears on here who would like to know who this person is,” Heming Willis wrote. She became Tallulah’s step-mother when she married Bruce Willis on March 21, 2009 – they met in 2007 and have welcomed two daughters of their own in 2012 and 2014.
“I am so proud of you, and proud of the hard work you put in every day, and luckily for you, me and everyone who loves you, this person is but a mere footnote in your story, and unfortunately for them, they have to be themselves forever,” Scout Willis wrote – she’s the middle daughter of Bruce and Demi.
Tallulah Willis Has Been Open About Her Struggles in the Past
Tallulah Willis has been an open book over the past nine years in regards to her struggle with body image and her recovery journey. She initially spoke out about her struggles in 2014 when she sat down for an interview with StyleLikeU – where she talked about her low self-esteem and how she copes with life.
“I believed the strangers more than the people who loved me, because why would the people who love me be honest?” she said in the video – referring to the many comments she would see from the media, fans, and tabloids. By 2015, she was seeking treatment for her eating disorder and began her recovery.
In 2017, Tallulah Willis took to her Instagram to provide an update on that recovery process – revealing that she has been sober for three years and called it the ‘most important thing I’ve done in my wee 23 years.’ She was proud of how far she had come and was excited to continue that journey – which she did.
