UPDATE: Rumors for the last several weeks have been swirling. Some people are speculating that after nearly four years of dating, Spiderman stars Tom Holland and Zendaya have gone their separate ways.
And after the rumor mill got too loud, Holland himself is speaking out and addressing the noise.
According to TMZ, Holland revealed that he and Zendaya are still going strong. In a video obtained by TMZ, Tom said he and Zendaya are “absolutely not” splitting up.
Thank goodness, love is not dead!
Tom Holland and Zendaya were told not to date while co-starring in Spiderman but that obviously did not stop them.
Producer Amy Pascal shared in a recent interview how she advised boy Tom and Zendaya to not date pretty soon after they were cast, but needless to say, it was not a successful attempt.

But can you blame the two? They’re pretty adorable together….
“I took Tom and Zendaya aside, separately, when we first cast them and gave them a lecture,” Pascal said. “Don’t go there—just don’t. Try not to.”
Pascal, who also oversaw the first five Spider-Man films, added how Tom and Zendaya were not the first leading actors she had urged against coupling up —- but ultimately ended up deciding to date.

“I gave the same advice to Andrew [Garfield] and Emma [Stone],” she explained. “It can just complicate things, you know?”
But despite her many warnings, she shared that many of the actors and actresses did the same thing: “They all ignored me.”
And why? Because they wanted to date, goshdarnit! Many have seen the three actors who have played Spider-Man fall in love with their on-screen love interests from the very start. The first time MJ and Peter fell in love off-screen, was Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst while shooting the very first Spiderman film.
“They apparently began dating with each other, I think, in the middle of the first movie…although I didn’t know it at the time,” Sam Raimi, director of the first Spider-Man trilogy, told the Sydney Morning-Herald in 2007.

But sadly, the two’s relationship didn’t last. “They eventually broke up before the second movie. I was concerned they wouldn’t get the same chemistry back, but it was just me worrying,” he explained.
“They really like each other, I think, very much. And that relationship probably just added to their ability to trust each other.”
Andrew and Emma would also get tangled up in a web of love because, yup, they wanted to date too. The Amazing Spider-Man co-stars dated for a total of four years after meeting on set before they confirmed their amicable breakup in 2015.
