This Disney Princess Ensures A Young Boy With Autism Gets His Fairytale Moment at Disney World

Lines and crowds can be overwhelming for anyone at Disney World, but they were especially difficult for a six-year-old with autism who was at the theme park with his parents. Luckily, instead of a story that ends with tears, a woman playing Snow White helped a young boy with autism have a true fairytale moment.

Bergner shares that her son, Brody, is non-verbal and while the family was waiting in line to see Snow White at Epcot, he began feeling overwhelmed by the crowds. “

“We went to meet Snow White by the fountain at the Germany Pavilion at 4:00 this afternoon,” Bergner writes. “My son was having a meltdown. He was crying and was overwhelmed and just having a hard time”

Bergner says the woman playing Snow White could clearly see that her son had special needs and was in distress. But what happened next was more than Bergner expected. As she writes in her Facebook post, Snow White “…took him for a walk and got him time away from the crowd!! This is true magic!!”

Bergner was so impressed by the compassion Snow White shared that she felt compelled to write an email to Disney about it.

Bergner says Snow White led her son away from the crowds and took her time to help Brody relax and calm down. Brody soon stopped crying and as you can see from the pictures, began smiling and enjoying himself.

Bergner hopes that either her post or her email to Disney will ensure that she and her family are able to properly thank this woman for her warmth and compassion in a difficult moment.
