No matter your age or situation, prepping for a date can be nerve-racking. Luckily, Jeff Saville, a single dad in Texas, had a great team to help him prepare for a recent date.
The 56-year-old was recently preparing for a date and having trouble narrowing down what he should wear. He immediately thought to turn to his daughters — Hannah, 22, Carli, 18, Jade, 16, and Mia, 14 — to help him find the perfect first date outfit.

For fashion advice, in particular, he reached out to Carli, whom he told the BBC, “is pretty good with fashion.”
Saville took pictures of two potential outfits and texted them to Carli for her feedback. In the end, he opted to go with an entirely different outfit — jeans and a red shirt — to meet his date at the restaurant. Unfortunately, though, Saville was stood up that night.
Carli shared with the Houston Chronicle that her dad was “really sad” about being stood up, but excited to learn that he was becoming a celebrity after she shared a tweet of the outfit-choosing exchange. Carli’s tweet now has more than 169,000 likes and has been retweeted more than 6,000 times.
Carli’s followers loved the pics, saying “I will fight the person who ditched that king. We need to protect your father at all cost!” and “He deserves the world. Super sorry he got stood up but I’m genuinely hoping he finds a good person soon!”
Though Saville was disappointed about the way the date ended, he shared his positive outlook with the BBC: “Dating is hard, but we all face rejection in our lives and you have to just carry on and hope the right person will be brought into your life.”
Until he finds the right partner, we’re glad Saville has his incredible daughters to support and love him.
