Sharon Stone has revealed her 11-month-old nephew and godson has died after “total organ failure.”
This past week Stone, 63, posted a touching video honoring River William Stone, alongside the caption: “River William Stone Sept. 8, 2020 – Aug. 30, 2021.”
The clip reveals footage of River to the song “Tears in Heaven” by Eric Clapton.
The news of his death comes days after the star posted a photo on Instagram of her nephew intubated with several other tubes and wires around his body.
“My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w total organ failure today,” she shared in the caption on Friday. “Please pray for him. We need a miracle????????????.”

Many of Stone’s colleagues were quick to comment on the star’s recent loss.
Sean Hayes wrote: “Ugh. I’m sitting here in tears. I’m so sorry, Sharon. What a beautiful boy. Sending all my love to you and your family.”
Followed by Jamie Alexander who wrote: “Sharon, I’m so very sorry for your loss. This is incredibly heartbreaking. My love, prayers and thoughts to you and your family.”
While Angie Harmon shared: “No. Sharon, I’m so so sorry. Oh my Lord… we are praying for all of you.”
Stone is a mother to three sons: Quinn, 15, Laird, 16, and Roan, 21. In Stone spoke in 2017 of becoming a mom through adoption, “Motherhood didn’t come easily, but it came lovingly to me by angels. We’re a happy and lucky family. That is the credo we stand for.”

She added: “We have a choice about what we teach our children — we have to stand tall and say yes to love.”
This past Monday, Tasha Stone, River’s mother, shared a post to Facebook where she announced her son’s death.
“God needed River in Heaven,” Tasha wrote in the caption of a video. “I can’t say more than I needed him here on Earth because my heart is shattered into a million pieces.”
“My days will never be the same and I have no idea how I am supposed to live my life without the sweetest boy in the universe. I am crushed,” Tasha continued.
“River William Stone you were loved beyond measure. Leaving your hospital room today was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I will ALWAYS love you my sweet baby boy .”
