On Nov. 1, NFL linebacker Shaquil Barrett and his wife/,/ Jordanna Barrett/,/ took to Instagram to share a black-and-white video.
The video started showing their hands on top of one another’s.
As each member of the family pulled their hand up one/-/by/-/one they revealed a photo of an ultrasound of their sixth child.
“Our final chapter,” Jordanna Barrett wrote. “Early summer 2025. Baby girl loading.”
The video also included a photo of their late daughter Arrayah.
Arrayah died in April 2023 following a drowning accident.
In a post shared on Instagram in the days following the tragedy, Jordanna Barrett thanked the world for their kind messages. “Thank you all for all the messages, flowers, thoughts and prayers. Our world will never be the same.”
“Arrayah was the apple of my eye, and my heart will forever be with hers. I love you so much, my baby. I am so so sorry. Until we see each other again, please watch over your siblings and momma and dada,” she continued.
“We love you forever and ever and always. I can’t wait to see that precious smile again and just hug you so close. I would do absolutely anything. There is no Barrett 6 without you, and we will forever hold your place down here until we all meet again in heaven. I love you forever and always.”
Two months later, Shaquil and Jordanna Barrett announced that just a few weeks after Arrayah’s death they learned they were pregnant.
The family welcomed Allanah Ray into the world on Feb. 3.
The same month Allanah was born, Shaquil was traded by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, later going the Miami Dolphins.
