Actress Sandra Bullock said she usually goes overboard with Christmas, but that’s all changing this year.
The 54-year-old mother of two said that her children — Louis, 8, and Laila, 6 — aren’t getting quite as many presents.

In an interview with NBC’s “Today” show, she explained that her Christmas is usually “really, really overdone.” Bullock told host Hoda Kotb:
“Because I overdo it, and then I panic that I didn’t do enough, and then I get more, and then everyone else has overdone it.”
But this year, she said, “Christmas is three small gifts.”
And the mom has a very thoughtful reason, she explained to the “Today” host:
“But this year, we just stopped. We just stopped because there’s so much happening in the world where people don’t have anything. And we said, ‘Why don’t we just make this about other people?'”
Thankfully, the actress said her two little ones were “amazing about it.”
Bullock adopted her eldest child from New Orleans after she was moved by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Entertainment Tonight reported.
In an interview earlier this year, she said that she knew he was meant to be her son:
“It’s like he had always been there. It’s like he fit in the crook of my arm. He looked me in the eyes and he was just — he was wise.”
The 54-year-old adopted her daughter a few years later in 2015.
Bullock doesn’t often open up about her children and keeps their photos off social media. But behind the scenes, she’s hard at work parenting.
It seems their mom is doing the best she can to instill a sense of giving in them this holiday season.
