Prior to starring in their new upcoming movie The Lost City, actors Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum have spent a lot of time in the principal’s office, thanks to their daughters.
Sandra Bullock’s and Channing Tatum’s Daughters Started Off as Enemies
In a new interview with People, while promoting The Lost City, Bullock revealed that her daughter Laila and Tatum’s daughter, Everly, were enemies when they first met while attending the same preschool. According to Bullock, Laila and Everly used to bicker a lot.
“Channing and I were always getting called by the principal of our school because our daughters were at each other’s throats,” Bullock revealed to People. “It’s not the case anymore, but like one of them was trying to outdo the other one and take the other one down. It was hilarious.”
The actress said she and Tatum would constantly hope it was the other daughter who instigated the latest fight that would land them in the principal’s office. “We were always praying it was the other one’s daughter when we were called into the office.”
And while Bullock can laugh about the experience now, she admits both she and Tatum were “mortified” by their daughters’ competition with each other. However, Laila and Everly eventually become close friends while their parents starred in a movie together.
“They’re pretty equal,” Bullock described their relationship now. “They’re both equally suited and they were both as strong but now we had a month for them to be quarantined while we were filming and it was a lovefest. Just sleepovers, everyone in my bed. It was everyone, not Channing. Just the kids. Channing got the night off, he was off with his buddies.”
According to People, after filming this latest movie, Bullock has decided to take a break from working. However, she promised her fans she’s not retiring… yet.
“I’m not retiring, just going to not spend time in front of the camera for a while. I have beautiful babies. I’d rather look at them.”
When Bullock does decide to retire, she promised to make a very specific announcement. “A very important announcement that no one will care about.”
