Ryan Reynolds gets a lot of attention for a lot of different things – his goofy sense of humor, his Instagram posts about his wife, Blake Lively, his charm and his movie star looks. Back at home, though, Reynolds is best known as dad to three young daughters and it’s the role he loves best.
Reynolds, who stars in the new movie, The Croods: A New Age, spent some time gushing about his daughters during his recent interview with Access Hollywood.

“No joke, they’re like the most capable people I know,” he said of his wife and children. “If anything got crazy or scary in my life, they’re the first people I would lean on because they have wisdom and strength and they’re calm under fire. They have courage under fire.”
Reynolds is also thriving as a girl dad, something he didn’t know if he could handle given that he grew up with three brothers.
“I love being a girl dad,” he told the interviewer – which in this case was Mario Lopez’s son! “I have three daughters, which I never in a million years would’ve imagined. I come from all boys. I have three older brothers — I’m the youngest of four boys, so for me to have three daughters has just been such a ride, and I love every second of it.”
Both Reynolds and Lively have busy schedules, especially when they’re filming movies, but they’re committed to keeping the family together.
