One woman had something unorthodox to be thankful for this Thanksgiving – she anonymously thanked the Washington Post’s restaurant critic for revealing that her husband was cheating.
Restaurant critic Tom Sietsema writes a weekly column, Ask Tom, for the paper and recently received an unexpected comment from one reader.

Washington Post restaurant critic files a review that exposes an affair.
“Well Tom your latest review is accompanied by a picture of my husband dining with a woman who isn’t me!” the woman wrote.
“Once confronted with photographic evidence, he confessed to having an ongoing affair,” the woman added. “Just thought you’d be amused to hear of your part in the drama. This Thanksgiving I’m grateful to you for exposing a cheat!”

Tom responded to the comment, saying he wasn’t sure if it was true or not, though he hoped it wasn’t.
“Please, please, please tell me this is a crank post,” he wrote back. “I’d hate to learn otherwise. I file two reviews a week, for Food and the Magazine, so I’m not sure which restaurant this is.”
He also shared the note on Twitter, saying, “So, this popped up on my live online food chat today. Cheaters, take heed!”
It’s not clear whether or not the post was indeed legitimate, but we hope whoever wrote it can now turn their attention to a healthy, happy relationship.
