Unfortunately, six hours later, they then discovered yet another body on the property, also identified as a newborn child.

Police continue to investigate who the newborns are and why they may have ended up at the plant.

It is still unclear how exactly the babies died as their autopsy results are currently pending from the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. It is unclear if the infants are related.

The facility, which runs 24-hours, collects close to 1,000 tons of recyclable materials each day.

Colgate is said to be fully cooperating with officials while they continue to search for clues as the investigation remains ongoing.
