Rebel Wilson is inspiring her fans and followers with a powerful message: weight gain is normal.
Speaking to her 11.2 million Instagram followers, Rebel spoke about how gaining weight during a holiday has impacted her body confidence.
Rebel Wilson Encourages Followers To Stop ‘Feeling Guilty’ About Weight Gain
“I just noticed I put on 3 kgs on my holiday,” she wrote in the caption alongside a photo of herself in a swimsuit.
“I’m at an amazing all-inclusive resort… I’ve lost all self-control. But you know what? I can get up tomorrow and go to the gym, and hydrate and eat healthy and love myself.”
She went on: “It doesn’t help to be hard on yourself but I know what it’s like to feel guilty and not great after eating too much. But if you’re like me just know YOU are more than just your weight, your weight doesn’t define you, just try your best to be healthy and don’t be so hard on yourself. Be the best version of you ????.”

Many were quick to praise the actor-comedian for her truthful and inspiring words.
However, it is not the first time she has spoken about her weight. Just last year, she called out how she was consistently praised for losing weight rather than for her professional achievements.
“In 2019, I had, like, four movies come out, two which I produced and one, Jojo Rabbit, which got nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture” she told Australia’s Daily Telegraph.

“Yet I get more press the following year when I do nothing except lose weight.”
“It’s fascinating. Why are people so obsessed with women, in particular, about their looks?” she questioned.
“I know what it’s like to be a woman who is essentially invisible to most people because of not being seen as traditionally beautiful or whatever. It’s crazy to try to fit that. It’s just better to be the healthiest version.”
Rebel is no stranger to being open about her life with the public. Just last year the actress talked about her struggle with infertility.
“I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with…but I guess I gotta tell someone,” Wilson began the caption. “To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense… but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds.”
