Disney Issued a Recall on 80,000 Forky Toys Due to Choking Hazard

Disney and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) issued a voluntary recall on all 80,000 Forky plush toys currently on the market due to it being a choking hazard. Apparently, the small googly eyes on the toy can detach from the doll, posing a choking risk. No injuries have been reported to date. RELATED: Fisher-Price Recalls 4.7 Million Rock ‘n Play Sleepers After 30 Infant Deaths Forky is one of the new characters in Disney’s Toy Story 4, which was released in June in theaters nationwide. Forky is a DIY toy made from a fork, pipe cleaner, and googly eyes. Because of its simplicity, many Toy Story fans recreated the character at home.  Disney is giving a full refund to anyone who purchased a Forky plush doll. They can be returned to any Disney Store, Walt Disney World retail store or Disneyland Resort theme park retail store.  Recalled Forky toys have one of these tracking numbers, which can be found at the bottom of the toy: FAC-024868-18338; FAC-024868-19032; FAC-024868-19060; and FAC-024868-1909. After more than a month in and out of court, Jenelle Evans has finally regained custody of her children. The family was reunited right before the July 4th holiday and spent the weekend celebrating by the pool, according to images she posted on Instagram on Sunday, July 7. According to TMZ, the judge ruled that Evans and David Eason’s daughter, Ensley, 2, and Evans’ son, Kaiser, 4, would be returned to Evans and Eason’s home. However, Jace, 9, will remain in the custody of Evans’ mom, Barbara, though Evans can still see him during their regularly-scheduled supervised visits. Evans shared an exclusive statement with ChampionDaily.com after the court ruling, saying: “Today [was] the final day we were in court from 9am-6pm. The judge] didn’t find any evidence against us of neglect or abuse of any sort. With everything that was presented as evidence, the judge found that CPS only had ‘hearsay.’ What CPS presented didn’t stand up to the definition of abuse or neglect. River “Oakley” Nimmo passed away at age five surrounded by his loved ones. Oakley had always dreamed of being in the Army and celebrated his fifth and final birthday with that dream in mind. According to People, Oakley celebrated his big day “dressed in camouflage, playing with toy gear and spending time with army personnel in the hospital as he underwent treatment for cancer.”  But Oakley sadly passed away on Thursday, June 20. The Fixer-Upper couple visited St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee to present a check for $1.5 million. In addition to the monetary donation, the couple gifted the St. Jude Target House with a new playhouse designed by the talented duo. The couple had initially set a goal of raising $500,000, but with help from celebrity fans, including Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, as well as hundreds and hundreds of their followers, they were able to raise $1.5 million. The money will fully cover the costs of treatment, travel, housing, and food for families and their children fighting cancer.
