New reports reveal what the relationship dynamic is really like between Prince William and Kate and Prince Harry and Meghan. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, William and Harry shocked people shortly after news of the Queen’s passing on September 8.
The Royal brothers appeared together outside of Buckingham palace alongside their lovely wives to observe the memorial created by commoners in mourning over the Queen’s passing.
Body Language Experts Dissect Prince William and Prince Harry’s First Public Outing
The images captured of the foursome marked their first time together in quite some time. According to reports, Kensington Palace revealed William invited his brother and sister-in-law to join him and his wife as they greeted those outside the palace.
“Prince William thought the walkabout to greet the crowds “was an important show of unity at an incredibly difficult time for the family,” a royal source told People.
“It’s such an extraordinary historical moment and also a deeply personal one for the family that you’d hope and think that all members of the family would unite and support [the King] especially. And perhaps some of those wounds can be healed in the process.”
Now, a royal insider is claiming that the once-fabulous foursome has “struck a truce” amongst each other. However, when it comes to the trust they once shared, that is no longer there.
“It’s really hard to spend time with someone, or even to speak openly when you know they’re writing a book about you and giving interviews. The trust is gone right now,” the insider told The Telegraph.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not been working as Senior members of the Royal family since 2020 when they stepped down from their roles and moved to California where they continue to raise their two children.
A body language expert who directed the foursome’s appearance outside Buckingham Palace claimed that it was “apparent that this was William’s choice and encouragement,” referring to the decision to appear as a unit. Judi James, who has been observing the royal family’s body language since the Queen’s passing, said it was the photos from the public appearance that revealed the truce between the group.
“[William] was in charge of the choreography, and he was the one who extended his arm to Meghan and gestured for her to join the group so that she could be introduced to their host,” James claimed, adding that moments from that appearance showed several “shared gestures of reassurance” between Harry and Meghan.
“When they were chatting to the crowds, Harry placed an arm over Meghan’s back and caressed it with his thumb, and Meghan returned the gesture,” she noted, adding that the couple “appeared a little cautious about the crowds.”
However, James added that “as Harry heard the affection from the people, he became more comfortable and relaxed, and part of the old Harry reappeared, including smiles and more active speaking as he stretched into the masses to shake hands.”
Meghan on the other hand “looked like a woman waiting for her cues rather than pushing herself forward,” James alleged, saying the “frequent hair flicking suggested some inner anxiety.”
According to Page Six, another body language expert, Dr. Lillian Glass, claimed that her behavior came off as fearful. “There is no question that she was in fear, as she hung on to Harry’s hand for dear life as they walked together,” Glass claimed.
“She was serious and even stood back when Harry was speaking to someone. Usually, she is front and center, but the fact that she hung back was very telling of her fear,” Glass continued.
