Big news, Peppa Pig fans! Peppa Pig has officially dropped her first album, simply called My First Album. The album includes songs like “Bing Bong Zoo,” “Expert Daddy Pig,” and “Super Potato’s Theme.”
England’s favorite talking piglet released her album to grand fanfare, with media outlets and influencers nationwide jumped in with praise. The Cut, for example, called Peppa a “pop icon” and “our new queen.”
While USA Today said the album is no “Baby Shark” or “Rubber Duckie,” Peppa’s fans defended her debut. Lil Nas X tweeted, “that new peppa pig album got the streets talkin.” He then posted this image, jokingly teasing a remix of “Old Town Road” featuring Peppa:
Rapper Iggy Azalea released an album the same day My First Album dropped, which prompted a hilarious rumor of a rivalry between Peppa and Iggy. The official Twitter for Peppa Pig tweeted to promote My First Album last week. Iggy commented on the tweet, saying, “It’s over for me now.”
Peppa responded immediately, “Peppa’s so fancy, you already know,” a nod to Iggy’s international hit song, “Fancy.”
Iggy then responded, “Collab with me now or you’ll end up a breakfast special peppa,” in a hilariously dark tweet. Iggy told ET Canada she has not heard back from Peppa about moving forward with a collaboration.
Twitter users came up with all kinds of hilarious memes in honor of Peppa’s musical genius, including these gems:
One fan even went so far as to create a Change.org petition in the hopes of getting Peppa to perform the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show. No word yet on whether she’ll perform.
Peppa Pig’s Height Also Goes Viral
As Peppa’s debut album drop became a hotter topic of conversation, some savvy fans noticed that Google lists Peppa’s height as 7’1″. Cue another round of memes:
