As the apologies from those who made light of Kate Middleton’s situation, one person in particular has not yet spoke out.
And people are not happy about her silence.
Last week, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to share several photos of herself dressed in an all-black ensemble next to a luxury car. The caption of the post read, “On my way to go find Kate.”
While Kim Kardashian certainly wasn’t the only person to poke fun at Kate Middleton’s absence at the time, several people who did poke fun at the princess are now issuing statements of apology after the princess revealed she is currently battling cancer.
“I think an apology is needed,” one commenter wrote under Kim’s post. “You should probably take this down now.”
“Can you please go find an apology instead,” another person added. “[This] didn’t age well. You never know what someone is battling.”
“Now she’s confirmed she has cancer, are you going to take this down? So distasteful,” someone else told Kim Kardashian.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, in the video shared with the world on March 22, Middleton announced that she was diagnosed with cancer following the major abdominal surgery she underwent. The princess called the diagnosis “a huge shock.”
“Tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
Middleton continued to say that her and Prince William’s focus has been on their three children during her time away from the public eye.
“Most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok.”
After reassuring the world she will be okay, the princess continued, also thanking her husband for being “a great source of comfort and reassurance.”
