Fans Are Roasting Paris Hilton Over Resurfaced Video of Her Learning How to Change Her Son’s Diaper

Season 1 of Paris in Love gave us a closer look at Paris Hilton as a bride and wife, but Season 2 – which was released on November 30 on Peacock – gives us a closer look at her life as a mom. The 42-year-old socialite shares two children with husband Carter Reum, but Season 2 is centered around their first child.

Their son, Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum, was born via surrogacy in January 2023. It came as a surprise to everyone, even the Hilton family, who had been kept in the dark until the day he arrived – something that they showcase in the first few episodes of Season 2. Don’t worry, you’ll get to see a lot of the baby!

In Episode 3, Nicky Rothschild – Paris’ younger sister – is flying in to meet her new nephew for the first time (it was also Paris’ birthday). At one point during her sister’s visit, Phoenix needed a diaper change and Paris said she would do it, but admitted that she was a little nervous because it was her first time.

“I said I wouldn’t do this on my birthday, but I will for you,” Paris Hilton said while holding her 1-month-old baby. Nicky seemed shocked that her older sister had never changed a diaper, so she sprung herself up and decided to teach her. Paris was also joined by her nanny, who was in the back giving her advice.

Nicky and the nanny taught Paris how to loosen and stretch out the new diaper and how to clean all the little crevices – it was a No. 2, which is always a good way to learn. They also reminded her to be gentle when handling the baby and to talk to her baby while changing the diaper. It was a learning moment!

“Growing up, Paris was definitely more of a tomboy — liked to hang out in the backyard, build forts, play with her pet rats. She wasn’t really one to talk about having a baby. But motherhood, you gotta get your hands a little bit dirty,” Nicky – who has three kids of her own – said of her sister during a confessional.

Of course, that was 10 months ago, so Paris has had plenty of time to hone those diaper-changing skills – especially now that she welcomed another newborn to the family a few weeks ago. Hilton and Reum announced the news on Thanksgiving, revealing that they now have a newborn daughter named London.

Paris Hilton Receives Harsh Criticism Online

When Season 2 dropped, and everyone flooded to Peacock to see what was up, we knew it was only a matter of time before the internet did what it does best – hate. It only took a couple of days before a user on TikTok shared the diaper-changing scene on TikTok. Within moments, the scene went absolutely viral.

The TikTok video, posted by RealityTV King, has received more than 2.5 million views over the past few days and more than 6,000 comments – most of which are bashing Paris Hilton for not knowing how to change a diaper. The comments were disheartening, disappointing, harsh, and ruthless – to say the least.

“The nanny saying “don’t forget to talk to him” is heartbreaking,” said one user, while another user wrote. “Mom guilt? any I had, it’s gone.” Many people were pointing out the lack of connection between Paris and her baby, while others were zeroing in on the reactions of her younger sister, Nicky, and the nanny.

“i feel like she honestly only had kids to carry on her name and legacy 🙁 i don’t think she’s gonna be very involved unfortunately,” someone else wrote. Still, some users had a different perspective with it. “The saddest part is its the Nanny helping her be a 1st time mom and not her mom. Says a lot,” said one user.
