Mother's Day

Spending Mother’s Day on Your Own? You’re Not Alone: Here’s How to Enjoy the Day Anyway

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, children everywhere are preparing for the special day. A day dedicated to saying thank you to the person who brought us into the world; to the person who chose us. But as we get older and life takes us away from our childhood homes, so many of us aren’t always lucky enough to be physically with our beloved moms. As Donna Kelce, mom of NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce, told Today, she is “very rarely in the same place as they are on Mother’s Day because it’s their offseason.” “So they’re out. They’re off and running and doing their own thing. But that’s okay, I have so many blessings, I don’t even care,” she admitted. And Donna certainly isn’t alone. So we asked moms of adult children how they plan to spend Mother’s Day even though their children can’t physically be with them on their special day. Keeping the Memory Alive: Mother’s Day can often be a day of reflection for so many. One way many moms celebrate the day is by keeping the memory of the other moms in their lives alive. “I go buy my hanging flower baskets,” one of […]

Tiger Woods Reveals the Heartbreaking Reason Why His 16-Year-Old Daughter Doesn’t Like Golf

Tiger Woods is opening up about his kids and their relationship with golf. It’s well known that Tiger’s son, Charlie, is following in his dad’s footsteps and becoming an exceptional golfer in his own right. In fact, just weeks after receiving a state championship ring, 15-year-old Charlie competed for a spot in the U.S. Open for the first time just days ago. But what about Charlie’s oldest sister Sam, who is now 16 years old? In an interview with Today’s Carson Daly, Tiger Woods admitted that Sam won’t be swinging a club alongside her brother or her father any time soon. In fact, despite her father being a golfing legend, Sam doesn’t care that much for golf at all. The reason why Sam doesn’t like golf? Well that’s because it took her dad away from her while she was growing up. Heartbreaking. “When she was growing up, golf took daddy away from her. I had to pack and I had to leave,” Tiger admitted to Carson. “I had to be gone for weeks. And there’s a negative connotation to it.” Thankfully, Tiger said he and his daughter have found common ground outside of golf. “We develop our own relationship, our

Small Educational Toys to Keep Your Little One Distracted

If taking a child to a sit-down restaurant was easy, then parents wouldn’t have to think twice anytime they did it – and they certainly wouldn’t have to think about all the things that could go wrong during the outing. Restlessness, fussiness, boredom, temper tantrums, meltdowns – the list goes on.  Most parents would agree that keeping their child entertained, distracted, and happy is one of the most difficult things when sitting down at a restaurant – especially with their child’s already-short attention span.  RELATED: 15 of the Best Educational Apps for Kids and Students The same can be said about airports, waiting rooms, and public transportation.  It seems like any time we want our children to sit down and behave, they have something different in mind. Playing ‘peek-a-boo’ and ‘I spy’ can definitely help, but it won’t keep them distracted for too long.  Don’t worry – this is a common struggle most parents face, but it doesn’t have to ruin your family outings.  Mamas Uncut Community Offers Advice Last month, one of our anonymous readers wrote into our Answers by Mamas Uncut online forum with the million-dollar question every parent wants an answer to – and our trusted mama

His toothless grin also reveals that the young prince has started losing some of his baby teeth and many think the youngest royal is looking a lot like his older brother these days. “Louis looks so much like George here,” one commenter wrote. And many others love that the photo that was shared was taken by Princess Catherine, herself. As it’s been made public, Catherine is currently battling an undisclosed cancer. The mom of three was diagnosed after undergoing a serious abdominal surgery at the start of the year. “Aw what a beautiful picture!! Shelton, who doesn’t have biological children of his own, admitted in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that becoming a step father changed him “in every possible way.” And if he had the chance to do it all over again, he absolutely would. “If I could have a repeat of these past 10 years, [that] would be perfect. Better yet, how many times has your child started a daily routine only to give up on it several days later?  It’s okay – adopting a routine and committing to schedules doesn’t come easy to everyone, especially when you add children to the equation, but that doesn’t mean you should abandon them completely.  RELATED: Ever Heard of Hatch? On April 16, Cowell took to Instagram to share a photo of himself sitting at the America’s Got Talent judges desk. Dressed in a yellow polo and jeans, Cowell is seen in the photo talking with his son and another unknown young boy.  “Meet the new judges of Got Talent 2033,” the producer captioned the photo.  “Aww I have no doubt that Eric will want to follow in your footsteps,” a commenter wrote. “You’ve been a great example to him and I’m sure he adores going to work with you! The Proper Way to Store and Track Breast Milk

Breast milk is hands-down the best source of nutrition for most newborns and infants. It has everything a baby needs (and nothing a baby doesn’t need) to grow and develop into a healthy and happy young child.  I mean, let’s be honest – they don’t call it ‘liquid gold’ for nothing! According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), breast milk contains approximately 87% water, 4% fat, 1% protein, and 7% carbohydrate (calculated as lactose). Its energy content is 60–75 kcal/100 ml. RELATED: TikTok Mom Reveals Genius Breast Milk Storage Hack Not only that, but it’s made up of various growth factors, antibodies, good bacteria for gut health, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and much more – ensuring your baby never goes a day without the right nutrients.  It’s nutritious. It’s natural. And the baby likes it.  That’s why both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) agree that babies should be exclusively breastfed for the first six months of life before introducing solids.  Storage Guidelines for Different Types of Breast Milk As nutritious as breast milk is, it can all go to waste if not stored and tracked properly.
