On Oct. 21, Kim Kardashian celebrated her 44th birthday.
The reality star and business owner documented many of the gifts and well-wishes she received on her special day, including the gift she received from her oldest child, North West.
The gift in question was a gold diamond necklace that has “Skibidi Toilet” engraved on it, with “Love, North” engraved on the other side.
In the video Kardashian shared on her Instagram story, West seemed thrilled to give her mom the present, saying her mom loves “Skibidi Toilet.”
“I do,” Kardashian question with a laugh.
If you’re unaware of what “Skibidi Toilet” is, then you’re likely very confused. If you know what “Skibidi Toilet” is, then you may consider this gift a bit bizarre.
According to CNN, “Skibidi Toilet” is a YouTube series created by 25-year-old animator Alexey Gerasimov that started in February 2023 with an 11-second video.
The series features an animated “human-headed toilet” that is at war with “humanoids.” It amassed its first billion views in just two months.
Now, with over 20 billion streams, “Skibidi Toilet” has become uber popular among the younger generation, explaining why West was so excited to give her mom the necklace.
However, given the age of the audience “Skibidi” has built, its increasingly horror-like violent themes have left parents worried, wondering if it’s too mature and inappropriate for their kids to be engaging with, CNN reports.
Now, as Variety reports, the animated social media series could potentially be hitting that big screen.
Gerasimov is reportedly in talks with legendary director Michael Bay and former Paramount Pictures president Adam Goodman. “We are absolutely in talks right now, both on the television side and the earliest conversations right now on the film side,” Goodman told Variety.
In an interview with the Washington Post, Bay said he’s “always been a director that believes in taking risks. Audiences yearn for fresh, new ideas. With ‘Skibidi,’ it’s a new world of what the younger generation is watching, and I’m taking it very seriously.”
