When Nickelodeon and Spin Master released the cast of their upcoming PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, there were a few names that stood out – such as North West, Saint West, and Kim Kardashian. The latter might not come as much of a surprise, considering she was cast as Delores in the first film.
North West, who turns 10 years old in five months, is being cast as one of the three new characters making their debut in the film. And while her sister, Saint West – who turned seven years old last month – won’t have a major role in the film, he will be making a ‘cameo’ as he makes his film debut, as well.
Also starring in the film are Kristen Bell, Christian Convery, McKenna Grace, Lil Rel Howery, James Marsden, Serena Williams, Taraji P. Henson, Marsai Martin, and Ron Pardo. Paramount Pictures and Paw Patrol Movie shared the announcement in an Instagram post – as well as their Instagram Stories.

The first film, which premiered in August of 2021 and is based on the hit television series that has been around since 2013, was a huge success – not just in the Kardashian household, but across the country. It follows a tech-savvy boy, Ryder, as he embarks on heroic adventures with his six adorable rescue dogs.
During the premiere of the first Paw Patrol move, Kim Kardashian invited some of her closest friends and family members over to watch – which included her four children (North West, Saint West, Chicago West, and Psalm West), Khloe Kardashian and her daughter, Kourtney Kardashian, and much more.
“I want to welcome everyone here to the Paw Patrol: The Movie. I’m so excited that I get to show all my kids, and all their cousins, and all my friends and everyone my first movie! This is so amazing,” she said before starting the film, adding that she wanted to do it because her children loved the show so much.
North West, along with Alan Kim and Brice Gonzalez will make up the three new pups joining the movie. “This year marks the 10th anniversary of the PAW Patrol franchise and what better way to celebrate than the release of our second feature film,” says Jennifer Dodge, one of the producers of the smash film.
North West Already Entertains Millions on TikTok
North West might be making her Hollywood debut in the upcoming Paw Patrol movie, but she’s no stranger to entertaining the masses. In fact, she has already made a name for herself on TikTok – an account she shares with her mother. Their first video together was uploaded on November 11, 2021.
As of January 27, North West has racked up 13.6 million views and her videos have accumulated 375.4 million likes – the page is managed by an adult, according to the bio. They regularly get between 5 and 10 million likes per video, with some garnering 50+ million views. She has a way of making people laugh.
And while North West looks forward to the next step in her career, many people are criticizing her mother for getting her the role in Paw Patrol, citing nepotism – something that has become widely popular online. It’s defined as the ‘practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives, friends, or associates.’

“Nothing new. The rich and powerful keep taking all the roles. No wonder they control all the narrative that promotes degeneracy in society,” said one user on Twitter. Others weren’t so quick to judge, with one user saying, “I mean, we’re just talking Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie here, people. Let’s take it down a few notches.”
