“This was really hard to do, but I felt like it was the right thing to do because I feel like sometimes on social media, and people sometimes in the spotlight, we just truly don’t showcase how hard postpartum can be and the journey of getting your body back,” Nikki began.
The new mom said she wants “to blame so bad COVID and being in Arizona with a lot of heat that I didn’t get to workout like I used to.” However, Nikki Bella was honest with herself and her followers by saying COVID and Arizona weren’t factors in her pregnancy weight gain, but rather she admitted to “indulging in pizza quite a bit especially towards the end [of pregnancy] and baked goods.” Something we all do, even when we’re not pregnant.
Nonetheless, Nikki said it’s important for her not to make excuses and “take full responsibility” before she can get back on track and so that’s why she’s sharing her journey with the public. “I am now on a journey to lose 18 pounds, but in the most healthy way possible because I’m breastfeeding obviously, and giving my son the most amazing nutrition is number 1, so there’s going to be no crash-diets, no starving myself.”
“I got to give up for all you moms because it isn’t easy. It isn’t easy seeing your body change, physically and mentally. And I feel you.” However, Nikki made it very clear that she’s not ashamed of nor does she regret her new curves, saying pregnancy was “worth all the curves, all the changes” because she has the “most amazing little boy ever. My Matteo is way worth it.”
In the end, Nikki Bella said she just wants to be there for all the moms out there who follow her in the most realistic way possible.
