‘Sex and the City Star’ Kristin Davis Speaks Candidly About Adopting African-American Children as a White Woman

Kristin Davis is mother to two adopted children: Her 7-year-old daughter, Gemma, and a baby boy she just adopted last year. Recently, she spoke candidly about the experience of adopting two young African-American children. The Goodwill Ambassador and Sex and the City star was interviewed on the Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, by Jada Pinkett Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Jones.  During the interview, titled, “Should White People Adopt Black Kids,” Davis describes her journey to adoption, saying, “I had already thought about [adoption] . . . it had seemed like an option for me for a very long time. I felt like there was a child out there who I needed to find that was my child. I can’t explain it. It was a spiritual kind of a thing . . . [Adoption] is a long road. Joy Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth recently shared the devastating news that their second child, a girl, was stillborn at 20 weeks. Stillborn births affect approximately 1 in 100 pregnancies every year in the United States. Joy shared the news via the couple’s Instagram page, revealing, “We named her Annabell Elise. As a result of the high-risk nature of her son’s birth, however, MJ will not be able to carry another child. After more than a month in and out of court, Jenelle Evans has finally regained custody of her children. The family was reunited right before the July 4th holiday and spent the weekend celebrating by the pool, according to images she posted on Instagram on Sunday, July 7. According to TMZ, the judge ruled that Evans and David Eason’s daughter, Ensley, 2, and Evans’ son, Kaiser, 4, would be returned to Evans and Eason’s home. However, Jace, 9, will remain in the custody of Evans’ mom, Barbara, though Evans can still see him during their regularly-scheduled supervised visits. Evans shared an exclusive statement with ChampionDaily.com after the court ruling, saying: “Today [was] the final day we were in court from 9am-6pm. The judge] didn’t find any evidence against us of neglect or abuse of any sort.
