After Life-Altering Surgery, New Photos of Ozzy Osbourne Are Shedding Some Light Onto His Recovery

Nearly one month after rock star Ozzy Osbourne underwent lifesaving surgery, photos of him using a cane to walk around are going viral. Back in June, Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne revealed that the operation would determine the rest of his life.

Shortly after the surgery was completed, Sharon shared that it was successful.”Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery! Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him.”

Over the last several years, Ozzy has struggled with his health. According to a source, Page six reports that the surgery was to put more pins in his back and neck in order to realign them as a result of his fall in 2019.

Prior to the surgery, Sharon admitted Ozzy couldn’t walk properly. This surgery was a way to hopefully fix that.

It seems like Ozzy is still in recovery but thankfully up and walking around as recently surfaced photos show him with his wife and children outside. However, the photos also show him using a cane to get around.

Last week, Ozzy Osbourne opened up about a past surgery he had during the years he was on drugs. He talked about how the anesthesiologist was forced to use four-time the amount of medication on him because his tolerance was so high.

“I had a procedure when I was doing all this s***. The guy putting the stuff in goes, ‘how long have you been doing this music?’ And I said so many years and kept talking. And he goes, ‘Why aren’t you asleep yet?’”

As the Mirror continued to report, Ozzy admitted he had a “recent brush with relapse,” but swears he’s still on the straight and narrow. It’s unclear if his past drug use affected his most recent surgery at all.

“I got it and I thought what the *** have I bought that for,” Ozzy admitted, saying he purchased more than $600 worth of weed while in LA. “Four ounces? I just had Covid so I can’t smoke anyway. I’d had one of those thoughts ‘that would be good’. But I never smoked one.”

Ozzy continued to say it’s his family and his newfound connection with them that’s helped keep him sober. “The thing that keeps me away from it now is I got real with me. One of the main reasons I have embraced my family is because I am not out of my ****ing face anymore.”

Now 73 years old, it seems like Ozzy is doing as well as he can be. Three years ago, Ozzy opened up about his battle with Parkinson’s Disease. It’s unclear if his use of the cane is due to the progression of the disease or because he is still recovering from his most recent surgery.

On Instagram, Ozzy announced the release of a new song coming this Friday, July 22! He has not made a health update since June 15 when he thanked everyone for their well-wishes and shared that he’s resting comfortably at home.
