Video of the moment Nick Carter broke down on stage while honoring his little brother, Aaron Carter, is going viral. As it is well known, the Backstreet Boys currently have a residency in Las Vegas.
Instead of canceling Sunday’s show, just one day after the news of Aaron’s unexpected passing went viral, the boy band—who Aaron often opened for back in the early 2000s—honored Aaron during their show. As videos reveal, halfway through the show, the band sang while photos of Aaron and Nick as children played on the big screen.

“My heart has been broken today. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded,” Nick wrote on Instagram alongside photos of him and Aaron as children.
“I have always held onto the hope, that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed. Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss. But the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you, Chizz. Now you get a chance to finally have some peace you could never find here on earth….God, Please take care of my baby brother.”
And Aaron’s twin sister, Angel, also issued a statement as well.
She wrote, “To my twin… I loved you beyond measure. You will be missed dearly. My funny, sweet Aaron,I have so many memories of you and I, and I promise to cherish them. I know you’re at peace now. I will carry you with me until the day I die and get to see you again.”
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, TMZ was the first to report that former teen heartthrob Aaron Carter had passed away. Carter was 34 years old.
According to the initial reports, TMZ reported that the singer, who had recently begun a career rapping, was found dead in his California home on Saturday, November 5. TMZ further alleges that Aaron’s body was discovered in his bathtub.
A source will knowledge of the situation claims that 911 received an emergency call from Aaron’s residence saying that a male had drowned in his bathtub. A reported death that is eerily similar to singer Whitney Houston’s.
It’s now being reported that it was Aaron’s housekeeper who discovered the singer’s body in his bathtub. A police audio clip of the moment the housekeeper found Aaron unresponsive was obtained by TMZ. The clip captured the housekeeper “frantically yelling for help” while calling 911.
TMZ further reports that Aaron was already deceased by the time emergency responders arrived.
According to TMZ, homicide detectives were dispatched to the scene but as of 4:13 PM EST on November 5, there are no reports or evidence of foul play.
Aaron is the younger brother of Backstreet Boys frontman Nick Carter. Earlier reports revealed that the brothers have had a strained relationship for quite some time.

Late last year, Carter celebrated the birth of his son, Prince, who will celebrate his first birthday in just a few short weeks. “Prince is precious I love you son. Your mommy loves you as I drop tears on the phone. This is me cutting his umbilical cord my precious family,” he wrote, in part, following his son’s birth.
Just last month, Carter shared a video of Princeton Lyrik Carter eating a snack in his highchair. “Our beautiful baby boy,” he wrote.
Prince’s mother, and Aaron’s on-again, off-again fiancée, Melanie Martin, has also issued a statement. “My fiancé Aaron Carter has passed away. I love Aaron with all my heart and it’s going to be a journey to raise a son without a father. Please respect the privacy of my family as we come to terms with the loss of someone we love greatly. We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.”
Aaron does have a history of substance abuse. As TMZ reports, Aaron detailed just how many pills he was taking at one time while a guest on The Doctors a few years ago. It’s something law enforcement says they will look into as the investigation into Aaron’s death continues.
Additionally, just a few days ago, reports suggested Carter was pulled over by police while driving an RV. Authorities had a suspicion he was operating the vehicle under the influence.
Mamas Uncut will continue to update this report as new information becomes available.
