Police have arrested a man for a shooting at a movie theater that killed an 18-year-old woman and seriously wounded a 19-year-old TikTok star.
The attendees were viewing “The Forever Purge” at a Southern California movie theater. According to authorities, there is no known motive for the violence and that the shooting Monday appeared to be “an unprovoked attack.”
The teens were discovered by theater workers cleaning up after the 9:35 p.m. showing of the violent horror movie at The Crossings mall in Corona, southeast of Los Angeles.
Rylee Goodrich was fatally shot, and Anthony Barajas remained on life support as of Wednesday. Barajas, known online as itsanthonymichael, boasts over a million followers on TikTok and more on other platforms.

A firearm that matched the caliber of the weapon used in the shooting was found at his home. According to investigators, the audience was small for that showing of the movie.
“I’m being told right now there were six tickets purchased for that movie showing,” Officer Tobias Kouroubacalis told KABC-TV.
“We’re asking for anyone who might have been inside that movie, or a theater adjacent to that, for any information at all,” Kouroubacalis said.

“She was so f—ing happy,” private eye David Goodrich told DailyMail of his 18-year-old daughter, Rylee Goodrich.
“I could tell she really, really liked this boy. And he really, really liked her,” he said of his daughter’s new boyfriend, Barajas, 19, who he revealed was shot through the eye in the attack.
“They were so excited for their first date,” he said of the couple who met on July Fourth but had never before been out alone. “She curled her hair all pretty,” he recalled.
Barajas, decided to take Goodrich to “her favorite restaurant” before they went the movies. The teen had been texting her mom right up until the pair were both shot in the head, according to the dad.
