Think food! One commenter told this mom, “My mom took me to go get pads, chocolate, ice cream, and a heating pad. [She] also explained that this now means I’m going to go threw more changes physically and emotionally and if I ever needed advice or just someone to eat candy with that she was always there for me, it really meant a lot.”
Another person wrote, “I want to do a girls day, just me and my daughter, when her time comes. Alone time together to be sure she’s well supplied and doesn’t have questions. Maybe not a celebration exactly, but a way to make it a special time and less scary.”
And one mom added, “Make her a box or gift basket with stuff like all different kinds of pads and tampons, Midol, nail polish, chapstick and snacks.”
