As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. But 2-year-old Arris’s school pictures are screaming a million.
In an interview with People, Arris’s mom Keishaun Anderson said she was left “kind of speechless” when she received her son’s back-to-school photos, admitting they weren’t what she was envisioning.
“I couldn’t believe he didn’t smile at all!” Anderson told People after sharing the pictures on Instagram. “But it was super hilarious to me. My family and friends also laughed because they know how expressive Arris can be.”
The photos show a less-than-pleased Arris, sitting with his hood up and his Spiderman action-figure in his hands. Arris is side-eyeing the camera, clearly not in the mood to have his picture taken that day.
Admitting her son is usually photogenic, Anderson told People she thinks Arris “just wanted to go play on the playground with his classmates.”
“He’s only 2, so he really didn’t say much, but when I showed him the photo, he just said, ‘Haha that’s me,’ and laughed.”
Anderson’s friends and family loved seeing the photos. “Me every Monday at work. I feel ya boy,” one of Anderson’s friends wrote.
“This my 2024 spirit animal, lol. He just gets my vibe,” another shared.
“You have to frame these,” said another.
And that’s exactly what Anderson plans to do, she told People.
As for how she’ll tackle next year’s school pictures, Anderson tells the news outlet that she’ll “just hope and pray for the best.”
“I thought I gave him a good pep talk this year,” she admitted to People, “but that went south really fast. It just depends on the mood Arris is in.”
