While waiting with bated breath for law enforcement to locate her son, Deonna Bray made a passionate plea to her son’s kidnappers. “We’re not holding up too good, but we’re trying,” the mom admitted before her son was located, adding that she had never been away from her son and that she was hurting.

“If he’s cold, just keep him warm. I know he’s crying right now. Don’t get upset at the crying. He’s just a baby. He doesn’t know what’s going on. He doesn’t know who you are. Don’t get irritated. I beg you.”

Deonna explained that they had just gone grocery shopping when Blaise’s father grabbed his nephew and a few grocery bags to take inside. Deonna revealed that the father started walking back toward the car 30 seconds later only to find it had been stolen with this son inside of it.

By 10:30 a.m., the SUV was located near another condo complex, but Blaise wasn’t in his car seat. The family did what they could to remain positive and hopeful that their son would be found.

Thankfully, more than 24 hours after he was taken, authorities did locate the 1-year-old. According to KHOU 11, Blaise was found safe on Thursday afternoon less than a mile from where the vehicle was stolen.

Reports suggest Blaise was found at a home off of Rogers Street. It’s unclear if anyone was with the child when he was found or if anyone has been arrested in connection with the kidnapped child.

The mom also mentioned how shocked she was by how quickly the culprits were able to jump into their vehicle and drive off with their son still inside. While Blaise’s story has a happy ending, this moment is one all parents can learn from. Under no circumstances, no matter how quickly you are moving, a child should never be left in a car for any reason.
