After losing her three children in a drunk driving accident, mom Jennifer Neville-Lake shared a heart-wrenching back-to-school photo featuring three lunchboxes placed on a grave.
Jennifer Neville-Lake posted a photo of three lunch boxes on top of her children’s gravestones, each with a single balloon tied to the handles. The lunch boxes belonged to her children, Daniel, 9, Harry, 5, and Milly, 2 before they passed away four years ago.

“Grade 8. Grade 4. Grade 2. Or rather, should be! These were their lunch bags for their 2015 school year,” she wrote in a Facebook post. “Our family’s first day of school because of a drunk driver.”

Neville-Lake’s children were killed while driving with their grandparents in Ontario when they were killed by a drunk driver.
Constable Andy Pattenden with the York Regional Police shared with People, “It was a t-bone collision at an intersection. The impaired driver failed to stop at the stop sign.”
Following the accident, the driver was arrested and is currently in prison, continued Pattenden.
“I hate my life now because of what the drunk driver did to my family,” Neville-Lake shared with the outlet. “I hope that by sharing my reality people will make better choices. Maybe seeing or reading my pain will help someone else make a better choice.”

Neville-Lake’s father was also killed in the accident. Her mother and her grandmother were the only survivors of the crash.
