When one mom felt her instincts kick in, she knew she had to act.
Now, the man accused of molesting her daughter has been arrested and charged.
According to the Tri-City Herald, 59-year-old Lawrence Lee Rawdon has been charged with 12 felony charges of child molestation, rape and providing drugs to a minor after a mom suspected he was molesting her young daughter.
The mom used hidden security cameras to get the proof she needed in order to protect her little girl. As a result, the mom reportedly provided local police with “two USB drives containing 13 videos dated between Sept. 20 and Oct. 12, 2023.”
The affidavit obtained by the Tri-City Herald reveals the videos shows Rawdon inappropriately touching the girl and giving her marijiuana. The girl told investigators that “the sexual abuse was frequent and had been happening for some time.”
In October 2023, Rawdon was issued a court order to no longer contact the girl. However, he violated that order by allegedly using TikTok to maintain contact with her, asking her for photos.
Rawdon is a well-known member of the Pasco, Washington community. As the Tri-City Herald reports, Rawdon owns Hot Beans Espresso coffee shop which features baristas that wear only bikinis while serving customers.
His bail has been set at $750,000.
