Mom Creates ‘Play-Doh Surgeries’ For 3-Year-Old Son To ‘Operate’ On

Thousands of parents around the world are captivated by the realistic yet kid-friendly Play-Doh surgery videos taking the internet by storm.

Jessica So is the creator behind the videos and is a board-certified dermatologist and mother of two based in California.

In the video clips, she “performs surgery” on portions of the human body that she has re-created in Play-Doh with acute precision.

And as So makes each cut, her 3-year-old son ardently watches — sometimes asking questions, sometimes giving his mom a helping hand.

During the “procedure” the dermatologist gently describes what she’s doing so her son understands each maneuver.

And we should note she does refer to each part of the body by its anatomical name.

In one clip, she shows her son a carotid endarterectomy surgery (or a procedure to treat carotid artery disease).

In another video, she covers a colectomy (or a colon removal) but if you really want to get in deep, be sure to check out total hip arthroplasty (or a hip replacement.)

So reveals that much like her son, she became fascinated with surgery as a small child, long before opening her dermatology practice in 2015.

In addition, So has amassed a loyal following of thousands on her Facebeook page, The Breakfasteur.
