“My C-section scar started itching: Advice?
Hello, I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant with my second child, and all of sudden tonight the area where I had my stitches with my first just started to itch really really bad. The area is red I had my other child a year ago ( almost 2) I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this and if so why is it just starting to happen now? It hasn’t done this before besides when I came home from the hospital.”

“My daughter is 7. She was my second and my scar still itches and is numb at the same time.”

“I am currently like 19 weeks pregnant and my c section scar started itching real bad also!!”

“I had the same… use Vitamin E oil on it.”
“Usually itchiness is from stretching and healing. Keep the area hydrated, like lotion on your belly, etc. That might help, and if you’re too worried, call your doc over the phone. I don’t see it being serious, but it is best to ask an OB about it to be safe.”
“Every one of my surgery scars itches from time to time. Even the one from getting my tubes tied.”
