Matthew McConaughey recently shared how he was sexually abused as a teenager in his new memoir, Greenlights.
Matthew writes how the very first time he had sex it was not consensual.
According to Variety, in the memoir Matthew wrote how he was “blackmailed” into his first sexual experience at 15-years-old.
“I was blackmailed into having sex for the first time when I was 15. I was certain I was going to hell for the premarital sex. Today, I am merely certain that I hope that’s not the case,” Matthew wrote.
Sadly, this was not the only incident Matthew writes on nonconsensual sex.

Later on in the book, he revealed that three years later, he was “molested by a man when [he] was 18 while knocked unconscious in the back of a van.”
And while he did not go into detail about either encounter, he did share how he did not feel like a victim.
In fact, he believes that “the world is conspiring to make me happy.”
