Mattel recently announced the launch of Creatable World, a line of gender-neutral dolls that prioritizes inclusivity, self-expression, and creativity.
Marketing for the Creatable World line of gender-neutral dolls highlights the tagline, “All welcome.” Inclusivity and openness is the name of the game here, and we think it’s a wonderful idea to give children the opportunity to create dolls (or “characters”) for themselves, using the accessories they want.

“In our world,” the Creatable World caption begins, “dolls are as limitless as the kids who play with them. Introducting #CreatableWorld, a doll line designed to keep labels out and invite everyone in.” The caption concludes with an “All Welcome” hashtag, to further underline the idea of inclusivity.
The Creatable World Dolls, which launched Sept. 25, are currently only available online, which Mattel says they are doing to control their message of inclusivity. Dolls are priced at $29.99 and can be purchased here.
Each kit comes with one of six base dolls and a variety of accessories so that kids can create their own look for their doll.
